I actually see the benefits of this... it is not a bug but more of a breaking change.

Actually I didn't change in 4.0 settings/mappings logic.

I was using 3.0.2 before. It's actually not a big issue; it just means we need to explicitly define settings for each mapping group. So now I have something like this:

        'settings' => [
            'default' => $defaultSettings,
            'index1' => $defaultSettings,
            'index2' => $defaultSettings,
        ],

It's weird. Should take from default if no key for index.
