metacpan-explorer's Issues

Add a "reverse dependencies" example

"Which are the reverse dependencies of dist X?" is a common query I would like to learn to build.
It would be helpful to have it as an example.

Graphviz2 fails to install

I am using perl 5, version 32, subversion 1 (v5.32.1) built for MSWin32-x64-multi-thread (Strawberry)
There is NO log file, I have added what I get on screen.

--> Working on Graphviz2
Fetching file://C:\Users\Shahriar\Graphviz2 ... OK
cpanm :
At line:1 char:1

  • cpanm -i Graphviz2
  •   + CategoryInfo          : NotSpecified: (:String) [], RemoteException
      + FullyQualifiedErrorId : NativeCommandError

gzip: Graphviz2: unexpected end of file

ReferenceError: hljs is not defined

From the mailing list:

This is Iceweasel 32.0a2 running on Debian sid.

When I point it to http://explorer.metacpan.org I get a perfectly blank
page (except for the <title>), with an error in the console saying
"ReferenceError: hljs is not defined" at app.js:103.

Please tell me what other information I should provide.

It might be an issue that hljs is being loaded from another site.

We've discussed before that perhaps we should merge those dependencies in and jam them into one script file.

https://explorer.metacpan.org is not working

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open https://explorer.metacpan.org
  2. Click on Size of the CPAN โ€” this actions changes the url to the https://explorer.metacpan.org/#/5521729

Result: noting
Expected result: I see the request to metacpan API and its response.

If I open the development console I can see the error: {message: "Bad credentials", documentation_url: "https://developer.github.com/v3"}

I tried it in serveral browers with and without privete mode, the result is the same.

Here is the screenshot:

Outdated link to the API Documentation

On site http://explorer.metacpan.org/ there is a link "API Documentation" that points to https://github.com/CPAN-API/cpan-api/wiki/Beta-API-docs

But it should point to https://github.com/CPAN-API/cpan-api/wiki/API-docs

I wanted to fied it myself and to send pull request, but I can't find the place where to fix it.

In the repository there is a file build/app.js that contaings that text, but as I understand this file is generated by build.sh, so I think it is incorrect to patch it.

Math::Lapack-0.002

Using perl 5, version 32, subversion 1 (v5.32.1) built for MSWin32-x64-multi-thread (Strawberry perl).
the cpanm -i Math::Lapack-0.002 command fails. The log is attached
build.log
