Today, the extension is written in Javascript. It'd be easier to maintain if it was written in Typescript. It would also be the opportunity to update the code base, which dates all the way back to 2012 :)

Hello,

I am Erin Tilley, the Global Customer Support Manager at Deezer.

We have noticed an issue with Deezer Control, which is causing issues for users.

Specifically it causes tabs to close automatically in Chrome (Drive, Deezer, Jira, etc). This is obviously impacting us quite heavily and we have had to instruct our staff to uninstall the app.

Here is the configuration of the computers affected:

• iMac 27" with OS X 10.9.3 - google chrome
• MacBook Air with OS X 10.9.2 - google chrome

Would it be possible to get this looked into and resolved?

It does not work on the download tab.

Tip: have how the shortcuts work when we are with the active window in another program, minimized, etc ....

It's trivial, except that we might want an option to prevent accidental removal (ie. the hotkey can only add a favorite, but not remove it).

When a hotkey is pressed, the error console outputs DeezerControl: unknown action Object

There are two key dates for the phase-out:

• January 17, 2022: New Manifest V2 extensions will no longer be accepted by the Chrome Web Store. Developers may still push updates to existing Manifest V2 extensions, but no new Manifest V2 items may be submitted.

• January 2023: The Chrome browser will no longer run Manifest V2 extensions. Developers may no longer push updates to existing Manifest V2 extensions.

We should migrate to v3 before then.

The selected / non selected state is not working visually, but does add to my favorites list! A bit annoying when I don't know if I liked it or not. Probably not_liked CSS class not toggling correctly?

Firstly, thanks for making such an easy-to-use Deezer extension!

My suggestion is just(!) to make a Chrome App equivalent to your extension, so that you can control Deezer directly from the Windows taskbar. This would allow me to control Deezer even if Chrome not active (or minimized!).

I'm not suggesting any more than what your Extension button currently does, e.g. clicking the App button (which, thanks to Chrome Apps, you can pin to the Windows Taskbar) would show the Now Playing/control popup window.

Apparently, the message sent via chrome.runtime.sendMessage is not received in the background page.

When the player changes tracks, the popup is not updated.

Chrome now has a glocal media controls pane (see the annoucement). It would be awesome if the extension added support for it.

To do this, we need to call the MediaSession API in the content script.

When I try to install this extension on my computer (a MacBook Pro with OS 10.6.8) it downloads it but fails to install it by saying that the package is incorrect and that the path is not valid.

I hope you will achieve to repair this issue since your extension seems very useful.

When trying to configure the hotkeys, i found that the media keys that are available on the MacBook Pro are not recognized as keys. Any other key works, just no the Previous, Play/Pause, Next buttons.
This becomes even more obvious when trying to change the modifier key, any other key results in the button's name to show up in the modifier key field, but when pressing one of the three media keys the modifier key fields is left blank.

To be sure the media keys work at all, i started VLC and used them on an mp3. They worked fine there.

The extension no longer properly detects that Deezer is playing: the button is stuck on the play state, and doesn't update. It's no longer possible to pause / resume from the popup.

When I enter the extension configuration, and click on next, play or previous buttons it wont show nothing, but in media player it works perfectlly
