Well, it's intended behaviour at the moment.

Both cursorhold options start working when Sy detected a change for the first time and that it is when the file was modified and saved. Before that Sy doesn't know what kind of repo is in use.

Oh, I get it. This is not particular to CursorHold but is Sy behaviour, right?!

Actually.. I quickly made some changes:

git fetch && git checkout improved-cursorhold

Does this work out for you?
