Overview

Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Accelerator is an Azure Marketplace offering that allows you to use your existing subscription to deploy a customized AVD environment. An easy-to-follow setup wizard will guide you through the process to deploy AVD according to your needs.

AVD Accelerator can be found in Azure Cloud and Azure US Government environments.

Getting Started

Prerequisites vary based on whether the VMs are going to be On-Prem or AAD joined.

Prerequisites

On-Prem VM Domain Join

Accounts that will log into the VMs must be synced to Azure Active Directory (AAD).
Connectivity to an On-Prem Domain Controller (could be a Domain Controller as IAAS).
- A Virtual Network can be created during deployment or an existing one be specified if it has connectivity to the On-Prem domain.

Azure Active Directory VM Domain Join

For a full AAD deployment, there are no prerequisites at this time.

Recommend to use simulation tools to test your deployment with both stress tests and real-life usage simulations. Make sure your system is responsive and resilient enough to meet your needs.

Unable to deploy to Azure Government Cloud Service Provider (CSP) subscription

I receive the error "This offer is not available for subscriptions from Microsoft Azure Cloud Solution Providers".
It will deploy with the same settings in the same tenant to an Azure Government Free Trial subscription.

Can we please change the naming of this/resolve the conflict between Accelerators?

Hope all is well, there are 2 AVD Accelerators, the AVD Landing Zone Accelerator which is being constantly updated here: (https://github.com/Azure/avdaccelerator) and this AVD Accelerator under (https://github.com/microsoft/AVDAccelerator).

This is becoming pretty confusing for customers as many looking for the Enterprise Scale Accelerator are seeing this one come up first in a search engine and not getting the correct information.

Are we able to either change the naming of this please or change the Readme to include the links to the AVD Landing Zone Accelerator found here? (https://github.com/Azure/avdaccelerator)

Apologies, I know this was here first but just want to make sure everyone is pointing in the right direction for their needs. This Accelerator is still really useful so I don't want to diminish its benefits, just make sure we signpost customers in the right direction.
