satechnicalonboarding's Issues

Cloning Steps for GitHub Browser Users.

Issue to Report:

While reviewing the "technical-onboarding-instructions.md" document, I noticed that it does not include cloning steps for GitHub browser users. Newcomers might encounter this issue when using GitHub through their browsers.

Proposed Solution:

To address this issue, I want to add a few more points on how to clone the repository using the GitHub website to the "technical-onboarding-instructions.md" document. This section will help newcomers understand and implement the steps more easily.

@tessawiedmann Kindly assign me this issue. Thank you.😊

Error Connecting GitHub to MLSA Account

When I clicked on Learn how to update your profile here

I'm getting the below error. Note, the mail used is the same I use to log into MLSA MVP Community and is the same mail for my GitHub Account.

That didn't work
We're sorry, but [email protected] can't be found in the stdntpartners.sharepoint.com directory. Please try again later, while we try to automatically fix this for you.
Here are a few ideas:

Click here to sign in with a different account to this site.
This will sign you out of all other Office 365 services that you're signed into at this time.

If you're using this account on another site and don't want to sign out, start your browser in Private Browsing mode for this site (show me how).
If that doesn't help, contact your support team and include these technical details:

Codespaces not loading

When clicking on code, and "Create codespace on main" and then opening the codespace in the browser, it just says "setting up your codespace" but does not proceed from there. On checking the 'networks' tab under the browser dev tools I found a bunch of scripts failing. I tried on different browsers too.

Deploy Issues

The Azure said the deployment succeed, but the status is still "waiting for depoly" for 3 days:

And the corresponding GitHub Action is empty:

The workflow is work correctly:

I don't have enough storage

Hey. I am unable to use codespaces because it is saying I do not have enough storage to which I had to delete my entire repo. I also have no experience in coding. Can someone tell me what else I have to delete please and thank you.

Error when trying to create Azure resource

When I try creating a new Azure resource/signing into Azure, I click on create a new resource, and I get this error:

Error running command azureResourceGroups.createResource: command 'azureResourceGroups.createResource' not found. This is likely caused by the extension that contributes azureResourceGroups.createResource.

Doubt: LEARN paths

  • I have completed 1 Learn path on Microsoft Azure Fundamentals: Describe cloud concepts, so I wanted to ask that is this enough for my automated promotion to Alpha level after 2 weeks.
  • I will be doing more Learn paths in a few days, just clarifying my doubt as I am a new MLSA.

Deployment Failed

For technical Onboarding my site is completed and leads my resume properly, but I am receiving mails of failure in deployment, so what should I do?

Invalid Token Error

I am trying to deploy my static website through GitHub Code Spaces....but it is throwing me Invalid Token error.

Error Message: Repository token is invalid. Provided token has invalid permissions and cannot be used to setup GitHub Actions CI/CD. Admin rights are required for the repo.

I have created personal access token for that repo and have given all the permissions including the admin rights, but it stills throughs the same error.

I have tried all the possible ways am much as I can.

No merge on github

I have been in contact with the SA coordinator. In task two of technical onboarding, they are saying I haven't merged but in the repo insights I am getting that I have Merged my request20240224_113618.jpg

Deployment Issue

I have deployed the site but the status is showed that 'waiting for deployment ' since 2-3 days.

Error deploying my web application

Hello :) , this is my first time here. I have been stuck with these for a couple of days. I don't know what I did wrong, and the console doesn't give me more explication of why is not working. Do you have any idea of what could it be?

I deleted the others and make a new one but the same mistake happens again.

Technical Onboarding

I have reached to alpha in MLSA , and i have completed one technical onboarding while i was in microsoft learn student phase , which was of to create a protofolio . Now i got a mail and it is tailing me to complete technical onboarding in alpha . do i need to complete that still?

There is no pull request in your second link

I'm getting this message from the evaluator saying that - there is no pull request in your second link, the link should lead to a GitHub page that says, “Update the game over message” and have a purple button labeled “Merged” under it.
