@ahundt I'm able to search on this repo. Please could you provide further information on how you got to the above mentioned error.

You probably saw the issues results rather than the code results.

1. Go to https://github.com/Microsoft/vscode-python/
2. Try searching “python” in this repository.
3. You will see the “issues” results
4. Click on the “code” tab.
5. You will see the error message I quoted above

We went with a fork to specifically tie the pedigree of this repo back to Don's repo. Luckily VS Code has good code search capabilities. 😉 I realize it's a slight annoyance to not be able to do this in the web UI, but to give Don proper credit I think it's a price worth paying.
