This was all working fine until the latest version of business ops. PowerShell window opens briefly, but I never get the hot swap connection menu to pop-up. I have elevated PowerShell permissions for my user name. I have tried, uninstalling and re-installing without success.

I suggest you add the fantastic "Analyze in Excel" external tool from SQLBI.
It will be possible in future versions to create customizable export templates so export from Power BI desktop will stop to be a pain.

When running from a server OS after version 0.0.8 Business Ops appears and disappears. This is a Windows Server 2016 Azure Data VM template.

Any chance you could update Metadata Translator in this awsome Business Ops tool?
Recently Kay Unkroth added support for hierarchy levels - it would be great to use this capability.

I selected the portable version of DAX Studio, but it doesn't add as an Excel Add-In.

You should consider launching the PS scripts using VB Script. There are several advantages to this:

• You can launch the PS script in an elevated mode if required
• There is no PS script window shown (no flashing)

See the attached example of this which I wrote. NB, the "runas" can be removed if window elevation isn't required.

I suggest you add "Power BI Sidetools" from TheBIPower.
Power BI Sidetools allows you to manage your DAX and M formulas in Visual Studio Code. Measures, calculated columns & tables, Power Query queries can be viewed with syntax highlighting and/or intellisense.
More functionalities will come soon.

When attempting to launch Dax.guide Chrome from the Power BI External Tools ribbon, I receive an error message indicating "DAX.Guide Chrome executable not found. Contact the tool author for support." Not sure if there is something relative to my computer's settings that is prompting this error, or if this is a problem with the link/tool itself. In any case, I need to know how to remove the Dax.guide Chrome external tool since it doesn't currently work.

I'm Having issues installing BusinessOps on my machine for the first time. I've tried everything. Deleted all my json files in external tools, uninstalled Dax Studio & tabular editor, tried installing as admin, tried multiple versions, all the same thing.. it gets stuck 3/4 of the way on the install prompt:

I have used the PowerBI.tips Business Ops Setup 0.0.11 to add external tools, the following highlighted tools are not working.

I am getting an error shown below:

Please assist, am I missing any step.

I have installed Business Ops 3.0.2 on two machines, on both of which I have admin privileges. The app will launch fine (first screenshot). But as soon as I click on either "Add External Tools" or "Edit External Tools" the app screen will go blank, other than the title bar, as seen in the second screenshot. Any advice?

Also, it appears this repo doesn't mention version 3.0.2, but I may have missed that.
