Current

🌐 CloudLink Omega

Cloudlink Omega is my current major project. It will be Scratch 3's first WebRTC-powered online multiplayer network.

🐈 Meower

Meower is a nonprofit, free and open-source social media platform with humor, friendliness, and privacy in mind. Our ultimate goal is to create a place that's ethical for it's users and convenient to use.

My primary role in Meower is to function as it's Chief Executive Officer. I also take care of content moderation, backend development, cybersecurity, infrastructure maintenance, and systems administration. I used to be a frontend developer, I made possible the original Meower client: Meower-Vanilla. I've retired as a Scratch programmer, and this client is retiring as well.

🌐 CloudLink

Cloudlink was my first major project. In short, it is a websocket protocol designed for use with Scratch 3.0 modded IDEs. The original backend is written in Python, and the client is written using Javascript as a Scratch 3.0 extension. When I joined Meower, it also became a major part of Meower's history.

1. Snakeware - This is a complete Linux Distro designed to run only Python! It's a bit slow and some functionality is left to be desired, but it's really cool!
2. BubbleDrive8 - A Bubble Software cartridge emulator for the Konami Bubble System (my favorite arcade machine)!
3. stm-bmc - A Bubble Memory controller made using modern electronics!

cloudlink-omega's Issues

500 INTERNAL SERVER ERROR: Error 1040 - Too many connections

• This bug is related to the DB interface for the server.
• Likely fix: Closing query handlers:

defer rows.Close() // close after end scope

[Performance/stability enhancement] Modify client manager to use in-memory SQL DB

As the client manager currently stands, the in-memory pseudo-db is not suitable enough. Converting into a proper in-memory DB will greatly improve performance and lessen the resource requirements for the Omega server.

Implement voice chat

• This work-in-progress enhancement relates to the CL5 protocol. Currently, voice chat is non functional.

As the client manager currently stands, utilizing a keymap structure is unsuitable for providing an automated lobby reclaim system. By implementing a ternary tree (sorted by a peer's newest join timestamp, with the host peer as the head of the tree), the server can optimize lobbies to utilize the next suitable peer in the tree (after removing the tree's head).
