Boolean attrs not saving

Thanks so much for making this addon! It has helped a lot during this awkward transition to firestore. I noticed that boolean attrs on any new models were not persisting and realized it is because of the "only save what has changed" feature. These models have a attr('boolean', {defaultValue: true}) but since if the value doesn't flip to false before before the save they do not get sent up to the db.

Any suggestions? I'm on Ember Data 2.15.3 and latest emberfire

Quest: Remove dependency with EmberFire

This quest issue tracks the progress of removing dependency with EmberFire in favor of ember-firebase-service.

Removing EmberFire will allow us to use Firebase 4.x and develop an adapter for Cloud Firestore. The downside is we'll lose the session management functionality via EmberFire. The workaround is to use ember-firebaseui for managing your sessions or develop your own.

If you're not ready to abandon your current session managemet, use the 0.0.x version of this addon.

Tasks:

• Replace emberfire with ember-firebase-service
• Create our own serializer that doesn't inherit for EmberFire's serializer
