Deal with items that have no tiles

Using MT 5.3.0:

ERROR[Main]: ModError: Failed to load and run script from …/.minetest/games/minetest_extended/mods/frame/init.lua:
ERROR[Main]: …/.minetest/games/minetest_extended/mods/frame/init.lua:139: attempt to index field 'tiles' (a nil value)
ERROR[Main]: stack traceback:

I think there should be some better solution to deal with it, than to crash.

Support craftitems

Currently, MTG binoculars can't be made to be compatible with frame because it's registered as a craftitem. I'm sure there are many more.

The displayed item is overlaid with a dummy object

It seems the item texture is not mapped to the displayed 3D object in the game. Instead a generic dummy-object is displayed. Often the correct texture can be seen behind the dummy-object in the frame. This has allready been reported in Nov 2020 in the forum thread of the mod.
As of 2021 June 26 the problem still seems to exist in the dev version of minetest.
A similar issue seems to happen with the flower pot mod.

Add missing nodes

  • flowers:waterlily
  • default:acacia_bush_sapling
  • default:bush_sapling

Saplings will be in 0.4.16 release.

Error without the flowerpot mod

I just installed the frame mod and got this error message
