A (soft)camera device that records whats visible in your screen transparently acting as a physical camera.

Obsidian seems to be a good markdown based note taking app based on Zettelkasten. Taking that to the browser, integrating it into Firefox notes or similar app can bridge the gap as well as make the app itself leaner.

This replaces WARC as the archive format. The internal representation of the server is irrelevant and can be updated as needed. However, the input and output of the server should always be Signed HTTP exchange.

IPFS can help with duplication as well content distribution problem.

PDF can be better than a PNG because PDF is vector formats and the end result can be selected and copied.

Components

• IPFS Pinning service that pins the archived URL so that at least one version is available.
• A archiving service that transforms a URL into PDF. If the URL is already PDF or that page already provides a PDF as alternate format, simply download that PDF. This can be implemented as a background queue worker.
• An API service for allowing submitting archive jobs as well as for providing the correct URL for given URL.
