The Buzzer and the vibration motor are connected to the Arduino and similarly the ultrasonic sensors are connected to the Arduino board. The ultrasonic sensor plays a vital role in detecting the obstacles where the ultrasonic sensor transmits sound waves and receives sound reflection from an object. When ultrasonic waves are incident on an object, diffused reflection of the energy takes place i.e., some fraction of the incident energy is reflected to the transducer in the form of echoes. If the object is very close to the sensor, the sound waves return quickly, but if the object is far away from the sensor, the sound waves take longer to return and if the object is too far away from the sensor, the signal takes so long to come back that the receiver cannot detect. Thus, when the sensor detects the obstacles it will notify the user through vibrations and beep sounds. The frequency vibrations or beep increases with decrease in distance. By this the person who wears the glove understands the exact location of the obstacle and thus allowing the blind people to navigate with more confidence and comfort.
