Just a toy program a bit like game of life but I haven't spent much time on defining the rules of how a colony will grow/multiply/die out.

Originally a pure 2D viewer was written; now added isometric viwer, too.

Test Panda3D

It's possible to use a 3D renderer to further replace isometric viewer, plus the package may bring interactions.
This panda3d package seems to be exactly what I need: crossplatform, lightweighted, code-orientated, excellent performance on M1 processors... One drawback may be 3D model support: mainstream formats are not well supported, but some strange formats like egg and bam (as in bamboo??).

Add image handler for mapping resources on screen

Instead of using uniformed colors, switch tiles to image based such that I use external image resources or build my own

Refined colony behaviors.
Colony should now be able to acquire additional resources.

Random texture generation

Build random tile texture generator.

Add input interface

Add input interface such that the colony is then able to take commands from either manual input, script or other modules (ML here we go).
