vscode-markdown-emoji's Issues

Autocompletetion needed

It would be great, when editing a Markdown file, these emojis would appear in the autocompletion context...

How to use it?

I tried using :smile but no suggestion is appearing in VS.

support

The users mall does't know what emoji and how much emojis the extension support.I suggest give an demo file.

Adding emoji panel

It would be nice if the extension can add a panel with the existing supported emoji.
I'm thinking about something like in the Latex Workshop extension (see image)

image

Thus, it will be easier to add an emoji in the current markdown editor, and one can easily all available emoji from the inside of VSCode.

If you accept PR and believe that this is a good idea, I can try to spend time on this feature request.

Dendron support

Is it possible to add support for Dendron preview since they use a custom webview which is not the same as an integrated VSCode markdown preview?

Only renders Black and white Emoji

Greetings,
My System is Ubuntu 20.04
I do believe that my VSCODE is on the latest version.
Im really confused on which font install so to have the right emoji.

I manage to make the emojis render in the code editor, by adding "Segoe UI Emoji"; I tried by adding also on the Markdown section but I still only get to see Black and White Emojis on the Preview.

Am I missing something?

many thanks!

Some emojis not rendered

Some emojis are not rendered, not sure why...

Where do the icons come from ? Even the rendered ones are not showing as they appear in github

Thanks for your support !

Add option to disable non :emoji: style emojis

Please, provide a configuration option to disable non :emoji: style text to be rendered as an emoji.

Currently, if my markdown has something like:

http(s)://domain.com/page

it is rendered as:

Screenshot from 2022-12-02 08-32-45

I want to be able to disable this conversion so I can see it as simple text (like it is seen in GitHub markdown).

Where can I find the mappings for current :EMOJICODE: systems (Slack, Discord, iOS, Android, etc.)?

Even the much referenced WEBFX Emoji Cheatsheet doesn't list its source or mappings. Github does, but I want to find out which code system is the most popular/used one - or rather which one's exist. I want to build an application that allows anyone to use emojicode in any application and any os and would appreciate any pointers in the right direction as to where I can find more information about the various mappings that exist already.
