Can't check the About!!

I was checking the current version of my Alt app installer and clicked on about and it took me to the browser to the repo. and I guess this is the issue. it doesn't tell your the current version but repo, which won't lett you know what's the current version. maybe user should know wheater the use is already uptodate or jsut way back old version. same with check version. it take me to release page. but won't tell user that is it already update or need a update.

#bug "Install from file" Option not responding and force the app stopped

Hi,

I installed the app on Windows 10 (1909 and 21H2) using the offical installer.exe (version 2.6). When I clicked the install from file option, the whole window got unresponding and freezed immediately and I need to force close the app. Any solutions?

One Note and Teams shows "No Data Found"

Hey this app works flawless for every other app, I tried downloading "OneNote and "Teams" using this app but it shows an error "No Data Found",To your surprise, I was actually looking for an alternative to the store.adguard.net proxy as these two apps are not being found there as well, I think microsoft found a way to not list new apps on their server, Please let me know if you can find a fix to this, I desperately need UWP version of these apps and the hunt for them seems exhausting!! (I don't have store in my PC, I wanna live like this :P)

Feature Request! Updates montioring or checking!

Hello! Its been quite a while I solely rely on Alt App Installer, as I have removed the store from my laptop! A feature which halves the effort of finding the app on store and then checking the version already installed on the pc and the latest version available on store-guard/store can be added! as I think it much adds the great insight and an all-in-one store replacement solution for those who update apps regularly! Maybe not always active but in the portable package you can add a flag/menu-feature which let know the users about the apps installed and current version available! Please share your thoughts on this!

Few flows which I can come up with but too noob to build package myself are! :

1. Manual mode

Where a menu of updates can be introduced and user has to enter the product-id or list of product-ids from the url of teh app to check in future which app updates they want to monitor!

2)Automatic mode

Where the Alt app installer takes permission to read 'C:\Program Files\WindowsApps' and sub folders in it to collect all the unique 'AppxManifest.xml' of all the packages installed, and read Display name and Publisher name of the apps using RegEx Maybe! and search and provide the necessary information!

Please share your thoughts on this, and let know, can we expect something like this in future updates!

Some Feature Request

Hi, this is the first time I have found an application that can download Microsoft Store apps purely directly using the MS-Store-API and not via a third party website. For those who are security paranoid like me, your Alt App Installer is truly like a send from heaven, so much potential. :D

Do you have plans to add the following features?

1. Download the app only (without installing).
2. Each downloaded app is placed in a separate folder.
3. Ability to use the command line, error level output that can be captured in a batch script, and can run silently.

QoL suggestions

When the user focuses the app you could inspect it's clipboard for microsoft urls or packages, you could even further and check if there are \n newline chars and split by this to handle queuing multiple apps to install

and also dragging links into the app like a drag and drop

I'm currently on a school PC, after downloading this installer, and successfully downloading Roblox, trying to open the app results in this error message:

Roblox is currently not available in your account. Make sure you are signed in to the Store and try again. Here’s the error code, in case you need it: 0x803F8001

Sadly, I cannot sign into the Microsoft store as it is blocked, as well as wsreset.exe. Is there anyway to possibly bypass this?

whene i run app that installed from alt-app-installer, the app give me this error "Something happened on our end. Here’s the error code, in case you need it: 0x87E10BC6".

I noticed that the size of the files in the alt app installer\downloads directory changed during the download process, but it did not complete successfully. Is there a way to fix it?

Feature Suggestion: Detailed Info About Apps and Downloads

Hi, first off I'd like to thank you for putting the time and effort into this awesome program it really eased the process of Installing apps.

Now, I would like to suggest enhancing this app by making it display detailed information about the app we're going to install (name, size, icon,...etc) and also making that when downloading an app from the built-in browser the program displays info about the app and the download process (download speed, download progress in percentage,...etc) also allowing for pausing and resuming downloads.

Also, one last thing, I'm wondering if it's possible to extract the installed app into an installation package so we don't need to redownload it again.

I really hope you consider adding these features in the next update as it will really enhance the program in my opinion, good luck.

its due to Cloudflare protection in store.rg.adguard site to fix this follow instruction from issue #6

Bypass store.adguard cloudflare protection

the author of store.rg.adguard has added Cloudflare DDoS protection which means we can no longer use the store.adguard API which was used to retrieve the links of the requested application for downloading so currently the app is unusable, in past i used selenium but that also wont work. so until I figure out a way to bypass it the project is under halt. any help is appreciated if you know how to do it.

Not an issue but just wanted to say thanks it been +1 year i've searched a solution to install ms store apps externally because my ms store was broken. Hope your app will stay up:)
