Thanks! That's a typo, yup. Fixed by d06adc7
I've gone with mkdocs.yml in preference to mkdocs.yaml as it seems that the shorter version is actually in more common usage (eg Travis uses .travis.yml file, Jeykll uses _config.yml)
Would be happy to reconsider and switch. Not sure if I care enough about that official recommendation or not since it doesn't seem to be followed.

Closing this for now - as the docs are now fixed - we can reconsider if we ought to use .yaml or not if needed, but let's open a separate ticket for that if so.
