Khan's ComiKository

Search Comic Vine's list of comic issues and save them to your comics collection.

Development Server

Run npm start for a dev server. Navigate to http://localhost:5000/. The app will automatically reload if you change any of the source files.

Backend API

The code for this project's backend is contained in the comics-express-server repository. You do not need to clone that repository, however. The application is pre-configured to use a Heroku hosted instance of athe comics-express-server.

Should you wish to run the backend API locally, you must change the baseUrl variable in environment.ts to localhost:[your port number].

This project has several unresolved issues. See the Issues tab for details.

Heroku Free Tier

Heroku applications hosted via a free tier plan will sleep after 30 minutes (and somethimes more often). This may cause intermittent unresponsiveness while the backend API server wakes from sleep.
