draft-ntp-interleaved-modes's Issues

interleaved symmetric mode valid packet?

In Section 3, interleaved symmetric mode, for the two bullet points we need to resolve the following two issues:

  1. How does a peer know if it has received a valid packet in the interleaved mode?
  2. What does a valid packet mean in this context?

interleaved broadcast mode

Again the term "local receive timestamp of the previous packet" should be replaced with
"destination timestamp of the previous packet"

Receive vs destination timestamp

For clear distinction between T_2 and T_4 in Section 2 interleaved client/server mode:
T_2: Receive timestamp from the previous packet.
T_4: Destination timestamp of the previous packet.
"For T_4, receive timestamp of the previous packet" is ambiguous and also not in line with the RFC5905.
