mlr3website's Issues

Add FAQ section

We decided to add an FAQ section to the website that contains a post about the srcrefs issue.

Remove book tab

I know this was my idea but I think having it as the first option on the "learn mlr3" is enough. There we should link to the github repo to give the user the choice between html and pdf, what do you think?

Gallery posts on how to add a gallery post

  • A gallery post should list all its dependencies using library() so it can be detected using renv::dependencies()
  • it should be possible to easily render the gallery post locally, using the library versions from the renv file, i.e. it should be possible to install only the libraries that are required to render the gallery post of interest

Gallery links are failing

The links on the main page are failing because of the restructuring.
Also then clicking on the links under category latest in the gallery, they don't do anything.

Instructions how to cite gallery posts

While this does not have to be included in every gallery post as it used to be, it still would be useful to have a global instruction how to cite a gallery post.

FAQ: saving and reading learners

There should be something on that. Maybe we even should mention this in a book section and then simply link from the FAQ to this section.

Graph overview lists graphs manually

Instead of manually adding the labels on the website we should add them to the dictionary and then use the mlr_graphs -> data.table() conversion method to keep the available graphs up to date.

Former team members

I think we should have a section on the website about former team members who have left the project.

Netfliy preview in CI

This will ease reviewing of new blog posts and gallery posts and website changes in general.

refactor: quarto follow up

  • header in mlr3 blue
  • manual to book
  • remove resources
  • maybe use quick start of the book
  • highlight that mlr3 is the successor of mlr
  • change color of logo
  • overview of packages
  • tiles in resources
  • in resources add a sentence to r6 and future links
  • preview text and image in blog and gallery post
  • team on one page
  • rename listing1, listing2, listing3
  • run gallery once a month
