We decided to add an FAQ section to the website that contains a post about the srcrefs issue.
I know this was my idea but I think having it as the first option on the "learn mlr3" is enough. There we should link to the github repo to give the user the choice between html and pdf, what do you think?
Does not work because the cite command for pandoc gets escaped somewhere.
Currently, the packages that are used the render the website are fixed to a specific version. This means that overview pages do not get updated when e.g. new learners in extralearners are added.
This should be addressed somehow
It would be great if for every post we assign some tags (on submission or even after) and someone is able to search through them in a simple box on the starting page (https://mlr-org.com/gallery.html), e.g. if I write one of the following: "survival", "tuning", "impute", "pipelines", "missing", "density", "xgboost", etc. then I would get all posts with the aforementioned tag of interest.
For some columns we can also enforce a reasonable ordering during object construction, e.g. feature_types
. For others we should maybe sort alphabetically?
The links on the main page are failing because of the restructuring.
Also then clicking on the links under category latest
in the gallery, they don't do anything.
A brief explanation would be nice what can be found here.
If it's already used and to check it's validity.
While this does not have to be included in every gallery post as it used to be, it still would be useful to have a global instruction how to cite a gallery post.
There should be something on that. Maybe we even should mention this in a book section and then simply link from the FAQ to this section.
Not sure how but I think they should be integrated.
This would be convenient for users that want to play around with the notebook locally
Line 141 to 145 fails with the current mlr3extralearners
version. Package mclust
is not installed.
I cannot reproduce this when just loading mlr3extralearners
.
@sebffischer Can you take a look at this?
library(mlr3filters)
content = as.data.table(mlr_filters, objects = TRUE)[, .(key, label, task_type, packages)]
#> Error in eval(jsub, SDenv, parent.frame()): object 'label' not found
Created on 2022-05-09 by the reprex package (v2.0.1)
https://github.com/mlr-org/mlr3website/blob/main/mlr-org/filters.Rmd#L20
How does this succeed in CI runs?
Hey the website looks really great, just wondering if it would make more sense to use one (or both the) interactive learner table instead/as well as the existing lists?
Instead of manually adding the labels on the website we should add them to the dictionary and then use the mlr_graphs
-> data.table()
conversion method to keep the available graphs up to date.
I think we should have a section on the website about former team members who have left the project.
Because we have it on the website I guess we don't need:
Also related to the wiki issue #28
This will ease reviewing of new blog posts and gallery posts and website changes in general.
And remove the one from the wiki.
See title
I would suggest to only list gallery categories that are really interesting to the user

was intended
Hi,
On page https://mlr-org.com/book.html the link for the pdf version of the book is broken.
Source here : https://github.com/mlr-org/mlr3website/blob/main/mlr-org/book.qmd#L12
https://mlr3book.mlr-org.com/mlr3book.pdf # link broken
Otherwise the post won't be shared on r-bloggers.
We should also double-check that it would in the first place as the URL has changed.
