devfolio

A simple, responsive, single-page portfolio and resume for developers built with Bulma, Sass, Font Awesome and Flickity.

Setup

Clone, fork or create a template from this repository.
Install required dependencies from your terminal by running npm install from the project folder root containing package.json.

 src\>npm install

Use webpack to compile and bundle the css/js by running npm run build from the project folder root containing webpack.config.js. Webpack will also begin watching these files for changes and re-build as they're modified.

 src\>npm run build

Open index.html locally in your favorite browser.
Modify accordingly - styles, colors and variables can be changed in styles.scss. Refer to the Bulma docs for guidance on how to quickly customize further to suit your tastes using color helpers and variables. See the Flickity docs if you wish to modify the carousel.

Query required Using This Template

I am currently building an open source platform where developers can create and manage their portfolio and switch between templates easily.
I like the simplicity of this design.

Can I integrate this in the platform ?

Dependencies have severe vulnerabilities

Dependabot and npm warn of these, but in particular these cannot be automatically updated by it:
Upgrade dot-prop to version 4.2.1 or later.
Upgrade serialize-javascript to version 3.1.0 or later.

Make the Header Banner Having Contrast

The Current Header Banner is of color Grey , Make it to Black to look better Contrasted.

How to actually deploy this to Github Pages?

How do I deploy this for my own Github Page, or in other words, see the actual devfolio site when accessing https://<your_git_username>.github.io? It's not clear especially for those who are new to web development/those who just want to have a Github Pages up and running quickly. According to Github Pages you need to have index.html at your root directory, but for this template it's inside src/dist, and trying to move index.html would mess things up. I managed to do this hack but it involves a redirect.
