pgpclipper's Issues

Android Keystore System use on encryption key storage

Currently, app uses NFC token to decrypt PGP keyphrase.
To support fingerprint API, app must store encryption/decryption key in Android Keystore System.

Due to the nature of encryption system, this method will work independently from NFC auth.

Screen rotation cause re-authentication

Open the app, click the Enable NFC authentication, click next and it will show an authentication success message, restart the activity by rotating, the success message is lost and the app takes back to the starting step to authenticate.

Clipboard detection does not work in some devices

Reported by Google Play Store review.

Currently known to not work on Galaxy S6, Android 5.1

Unfortunately, I'm not that 'Samsung' developer, so I don't have any Samsung devices.
Will try to find one, though.

There are no bug reports

There is no bug!

Hey, come on. There should be bugs somewhere. Give me bug reports. I would be glad to debug them. So, yes- no bug is a bug here.

Other then bug reports, what can we do to help this project?

You can always provide me translations. Russian, Spanish, Chinese... you name it!
Also, you will notice it's crappy logo. Yes, I admit I'm very bad at design. You can provide me a nice logo (and maybe other graphical assets required in Google Play Store).

I want (this) function! & Questions?

You can always send mail to my application's support mail address (in Google Play store), or you can make issue here.

Seemingly no functionality

It seems like nothing is working.
I am on a Xiaomi Phone with Android 11 and OpenKeychain installed.
I installed the app from F-Droid, disabled the power-saving, and selected OpenKeychain as the provider. The checkbox at the very top to activate the service is checked. My pgp key is unlocked.
When I go into any app and select some encrypted text nothing happens. I am not sure what is supposed to happen, but I don't get a notification and no popup.
Maybe I am still missing something?

How to decrypt

I got something encrypted, how do I decrypted?
I used the password option just in case that makes a difference.

Ohhh

Security problems!

Clipboard insecure for plaintext

Isn't the global clipboard able to be monitored by pretty much any app? How is this app supposed to claim security if this is the case?
