ferris's Issues

I saw a ufo and nobody believes me

The issue is this project needs MORE issues and MORE stars. Mainly it needs a web ui similar/better than the ipython notebook, to surface it's many features to a wider audience of mindless pointers and clickers and browsers. We need those bindings.

the biggest/best/bravest/most challenging step towards this would be as stated on the
http://www.libferris.com/home page: "I plan to implement an async binding for Node.js. This will give you access to all your libferris data from a Node.js API that you would expect (no block, async)."

...because the same or similar cpp code could be used for python bindings as well, and provide ten years worth of hacks and integration's, unified around hitting SO MANY nails with the one hammer,
[=posix commands on a FS, where F can be freak'n pretty much anything, and S is some sort of structure to be worked with in a systematic way] to the more numerous, and more mindless audience of pointers and clickers, of which i am one.

so, i downloaded https://github.com/monkeyiq/ferris (which i can't actually make use of because i'm happily marooned and locked into win10 for the foreseeable future, but that's a different matter) and had a look in there for javascript files to see if exposing the libferris API to node code, had progressed or been accomplished in the last year, but all i could find for "*.js" was "libferrismountOverlay.js" which again isn't nearly enough stars!! Last night i saw a burning white light fall from the sky, quite a distance away, somewhere near Springfield, it feel quite quickly, not sure what it was, it fell quite fast to below the treeline, but no megalithic impact, fireball or explosion was heard. It was a ufo, where f is for flying or falling, i'm not quite sure, maybe both, this is the case with libferris too, it is a bright light a shooting or falling star, there needs to be an impact where the world changes/improves, it needs to be atomized and inducted into the browser based air supply.

we need those bindings https://youtu.be/N7cNI-0Ozr4?t=1m

(lib)ferris packaging

Having OS-specific packaged like Ubuntu's PPA or Fedora's COPR might help to increase awareness of the users regarding this project and help with including it in OS repositories which will make it easier for users and developers alike to adopt it.
