variablefont.js's Issues

Implementation of setInstances

Hello! I'm going into this without much knowledge about fonts, but am looking into the possibility of changing a variable font's instances and then exporting it as a new font file. Would anyone have any pointers as to how I would go about doing that? The naive

font.tables['fvar'].instances = [...];
font.download();

didn't work as I had hoped.
(This might also be a question for opentype.js, but I figured if I was able to implement it, it would be a nice addition for this library)
