moodle-qtype_ddmarker's Issues

Background image not responsive?

Hello,

I'm not sure if this is an issue that's been fixed in recent versions. But I had a report that when an instructor is previewing a question the drop zones are unreachable because it runs off the screen because the user is using a non-widescreen.

I'm running ddmarker 1.4 in latest version of Moodle 2.8.

Usability

Hi!

First, thanks for providing this plugin to the community.

When I worked with this question type, I had some usability issues.
My proposals for increasing the usabilty a bit:

  • Having to declare the coordinates manually takes much time for finding the right coordinate -> it would be nice if the markers could be dragged as in Drag and Drop on Pictures.
  • No initial help how the format of the coordinates has to be like is there. So a simple explanation or help button would help a lot. This information is only shown, when the system detects this error (mostly when saving the question)
  • Markers should appear before the part Drop Zones because Drop Zones refer to the created Markers
  • The thing with the numbers is also not yet perfectly clear to me. Especially I don't understand the meaning of the number infinite.
  • A little 'How to' use this plugin would be nice

Best regards,
Kathrin

Option to use alternative pointer image

Our students complained at the difficulty of seeing the standard crosshairs on many images. We manually replaces the images in pix with a different arrow shaped image and this was preferred by our students.
It would be useful to be able change the image as a configuration option rather than needing to do this directly ... particularly as there are plans to outsource hosting which will reduce our access to the server and make it impossible to apply our own patches direct.
