Installation

1. Clone and copy Webster's Unabridged Dictionary.dictionary to your /Library/Dictionaries folder:

git clone https://github.com/altosaar/webster-mac.git
cp -r webster-mac/Webster\'s\ Unabridged\ Dictionary.dictionary /Users/`whoami`/Library/Dictionaries/

2. Go to Preferences of Dictionary.app, select Webster's Unabridged Dictionary and drag it to the top.

3. Enjoy better defaults.

How can we see the phonetic transcription for the American pronunciation in this dictionary?

Using Merriam-Webster's dictionary is really helpful to determine the American pronunciation for a given word in Diacritical alphabets, not IPA. How can we activate the phonetic transcription in this dictionary using Dictionary.app on macOS?

Improved text styles

I think the dictionary could look a lot better, a lot closer to the typography used in the official dictionary.

You can also provide styles for the pop-up by specifying the class html.apple_client-panel

Release

it would be great to have the dictionary in the release section, so that it downloads and unzips ready to be dragged to a shortcut that points to the correct location.
