Enthusiasts community call-to-action website for the Firefox Quantum Release with example tweets and the possibility to retweet the official Firefox tweet.

Installing

$ npm install
$ npm run dep:copy

Then open the index.html file in your browser.

How to localize

All strings are defined in the language files. All you need to do is open the appropriate file in the locales folder and translate the strings. We gladly take any Pull Requests :)

Wiki changes

FYI: The following changes were made to this repository's wiki:

• defacing spam has been removed

• Restricting write access to contributors is strongly encouraged. Please make that change (documentation).

These were made as the result of a recent automated defacement of publically writeable wikis.

Integrate GTM

Henrik has already given me the GTM ids, we just need to integrate it now.

Display widget with hashtags tweets

It would be interesting to display all tweets happening at the bottom of the site, checking the localized hashtag and displaying the tweet stream.

I think this will encourage people to tweet themselves.

Preselected language is wrong

Nice landing page! :)
I've found a small and minor bug.

German is the default locale in my browsers language settings. Therefore, the page is correctly translated to German but "English" is selected in the top right corner.

This might be a little confusing to some people. Because English is the preselected item, someone who wants to see the page in English has to select another language first to be able to select English, otherwise the change-Event won't get fired.

Yep, very small, but I wanted to leave a note. Feel free to wont-fix ;)

Add countdown for the tweets

Integrate Retweet functionality

We need to implement the Retweet functionality. For now I'll use an older Firefox tweet so we can test it and once the tweet is live, we can just change the ID.

Query new FTL file after countdown

Probably easiest to do a hard reload once the timer is below 0 so we for sure get the new retweet ID from the ftl files. As GitHub seem to cache it for one minute, we might want to change the timer to 14:01.

add-ons not working

After updating to the newest version of Firefox, my add-on collections no longer work. The categories are there but when I click on them it just goes to a blank page. This was one of my main reasons for using Firefox, so I would like to know if it's going to be fixed & when.

Hi! I noticed you’re setting up a new website, and I wanted to ask you to add a LICENSE of some kind to this repository.

Typically we use a variant of Creative Commons for web content. It’s up to you what’s best here. Our general guidelines are at https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/foundation/licensing/ but they clearly note that the guidance is just that.

Without a LICENSE, this repository is “closed source”, so I try to ask for them whenever possible.

Only show RT button if tweet id exists

To make sure people don't tweet the wrong tweet, let's remove the dummy tweet we have currently and only show the RT button if there is a RT Tweet ID. This also makes it possible to have the general content go live at 14:00, but the retweet to be a little bit later.

Download Issue FF57

Just tried to download uMatrix on FF57 running on Windows 7/64. Add-ons manager indicates I am using FF49.0 and unable to download.

CODE_OF_CONDUCT.md file missing

As of January 1 2019, Mozilla requires that all GitHub projects include this CODE_OF_CONDUCT.md file in the project root. The file has two parts:

1. Required Text - All text under the headings Community Participation Guidelines and How to Report, are required, and should not be altered.
2. Optional Text - The Project Specific Etiquette heading provides a space to speak more specifically about ways people can work effectively and inclusively together.
