whitespace's Issues

No image support for .JPG

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I'd expect to use either of the popular image formats, PNG or JPG.
Currently the code limits images to PNG.

Should use data-typed events for all listeners

What is expected? What do you see instead?

I expect to see:
timer.addEventListener( TimerEvent.TIMER, onEvent );

Instead I see:
timer.addEventListener( "timer", onEvent );

Please provide any additional information below.

Content isn't dynamic enough

Currently to display the presentation I need to install an AIR app, drop my
images into the install directory, and then run the AIR app.

There is no current support for dynamic content via drag/drop or xml.
Adding either of these would allow for greater flexibility and separate the
viewer from the content.

Transition duration isn't adjustable

It seems like the transition time could be adjusted to each transition
slide by specifying an extra parameter in the filename.

0012_TRANSITION.png // use default time
0012_TRANSITION_1200.png // pause 1.2 seconds before advance

Multiple Next/Back events per slide get queued -- should be ignored

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Run the presentation
2. Click or hit Arrow Right rapidly
3. Watch the whole presentation flash before your eyes

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Only one Next or Back event should be processed per slide. Additional
events should be ignored during transitions.

No progression information

What is the expected? What do you see instead?

I'd expect to see my progress in some form. Currently there is no visible
information regarding where you are in the presentation. While Shift brings
up the Clue modal window, it(or another page) could be used to display
which slide you are currently viewing out of the total number of slides (x
of x).

If you represent this data visually (ie, a box per slide), you could also
use it as a quick jump.

"Shift + Click for Clue" has undesired result

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Press Shift
2. Click anywhere to try and record a clue

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I expect a clue to be recorded but instead my click will advance the slide
show. I assume while shift is pressed that no direct manipulation of the
side show will occur.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
No version info on whitespace. Vista.
