Charge Point Simulator

It is a charge point simulator for testing back-end applications. This client is supporting OCPP 1.6 protocol.

Running on Docker

First of all clone github project. And open root folder run sh codes.

# clone project
git clone [email protected]:MuhammedAlmaz/ma-ocpp-simulator.git

# build docker for creating image of application
docker build --tag "ma-ocpp-simulator" .

# Create container which image you created before
docker run -p 2024:80 -d ma-ocpp-simulator

Finnaly, you can open http://localhost:2024 on your browser and the front-end application should running.

Charge Point page issue

Set heartbeat interval from bootnotification response. If none is provided, use one set from admin panel

[fix] Fix 'value' type on startSendMeterValues() payload

When StartTransaction runs, my backend server throws the following error:

Failed validating 'type' in schema['properties']['meterValue']['items']['properties']['sampledValue']['items']['properties']['value']:
    {'type': 'string'}

On instance['meterValue'][0]['sampledValue'][0]['value']:
    1736.9196833333333

It does not stop the Transaction, it's just on backend. I converted the 'value' type to string with toString() and it worked just fine

Change value field type in MeterPayload

As per documentation of OCPP1.6, sampledValue of MeterValue data looks like this:

So, the type of value field should change from float to string.

branch name change not reflected in instructions

Dear Muhammed,

By the looks of it, you changed the rep name from ma-charge-point-simulator to ma-ocpp-simulator. The instructions have not been updated and the suggested git and docker commands don't work. Took me a while to figure out.

[config] Struggling to test StartTransaction

Hey! I can't test StartTransaction and simulate a charging scenario. Connector keeps on "Preparing" status. Perhaps I missed something. Am I doing something wrong or is it bug?

Make "Charge Point Code" field string

Considering the charge point can have any type of ID, I would recommend to change the field to string, without any validations

StartTransaction with idTag

Thanks for making this public! I've noticed that the start transaction with an ID Tag on connector 2 is starting the session on connector 1.
