Area Search Spatially Explicit Capture-Recapture

This is an experimental R package. Initially it comprises a subset of code from 'secr' related to polygon, polygonX, transect, and transectX detector types.

It may be installed using

devtools::install_github("MurrayEfford/secrpoly")

Compilation of C++ code is required.

Please report bugs as Issues on this GitHub page.

Faster integration with polyCub?

I've just discovered the package polyCub that has various methods for integration of a function over a polygon. Most interesting is polyCub.iso for a radially symmetrical function (detection functions are radially symmetrical). It requires an analytic antiderivative; this is provided for a bivariate normal in the vignette, and it seems very fast. Also, C code is provided via Linking to:

The exact Gaussian method is currently NOT available in polyCub (owing to withdrawl of rgdal) , but it may be restored in the future.
