Task Manager Application

• This README provides an overview of the frontend application for the Task Manager Project. It is designed to allow users to manage and keep track of their tasks in a user-friendly way.

User Story

• The user story for this project is as follows:

  • As a user, I want to be able to add, edit, and delete tasks on a task list.
  • I want to be able to filter tasks by completion status and due date.
  • I want to be able to view a list of my tasks and their details.

Development Requirements

• This frontend application is built using React.js and Bootstrap CSS framework. The application uses the Fetch API to communicate with the backend API, which is hosted on npoint.io.

-The following dependencies were used in the development of this project:

    - React.js
    - Bootstrap CSS
    - Visual Studio Code

Installation

• To use this repository on your machine do the following simple steps:

  • Open a terminal / command line interface on your computer.

  • Clone the repo by using the following to create a copy on your local machine:

      - [email protected]:Musyoki-Wambua/task-manager-react.git
    

  • Change directory to the repo folder:

    - cd task-manager-react
    

  • (Optional) Open it in Visual Studio Code:

    . code .
    

Running the Application

• Run npm install to install the necessary dependancies.

  • npm install To use the project, run the following in the terminal

  npm start
