counter's Introduction

Counter

Counter is a simple app showing the basics of the VIPER architecture, a version of Uncle Bob’s Clean Architecture for iOS apps. Counter shows the use of a View, Presenter and Interactor. It does not make use of a data store or a Wireframe for navigation.

The inspiration for Counter comes from Jon Reid’s UIViewController TDD screencast.

Example with Data Source et Wireframe

Hi,

First of all, I would say big thanks to those which wrote this article and carried out VIPER architecture, this is really great.

I try to implement VIPER architecture for my app but I would have an example on how implement Wireframe and Data Source.

In your article on your blog, you said that you will add a new example with Wireframe and Data Store soon ? When will it be available ?

Best regards,
Jean Lebrument

This is a VIPER example

I´m trying to understand this architecture and was seeing your example and a question arised, Where is the routing tier?

CACountInteractor contains business rules

I'm talking about this part:

- (void)decrement
{
    if ([self canDecrement])
    {
        --self.count;
        [self sendCount];
    }
}

Shouldn't the Interactor delegate to a model object in the domain? I know this would be tedious since the call to increment would be delegated yet another time. But that's the deal, isn't it?
