Sega P-ras 3 software tools

This repository contains software for controlling the three serial devices found on the Sega P-ras 3 arcade machine.

• SEGA 837-15396/610-0955 NFC reader/writer.
• Futaba GP1232A02A vacuum fluorescent display (VFD) (Sega part no. 200-6275).
• Sega LED control board.

The python script can be run as an executable or imported and used as a module. The executalbe only provides a subset of the features of the module. The module requires PySerial.

There is also a compiled program written in C that runs on Linux/Windows/MacOS. It provides the same features as the python executable.

Feature request: Slow VFD scrolling

On A-P, meybarra said: "I added a line in the do_vfd function to slow the text scrolling".
I'd love for that feature to be available in the executable.

And thank you so much mv1f for all the work you've done on this gem of a P-ras app. Without those glorious lights, the P-ras just wouldn't look as incredible as it does. Much appreciated.

Could not encode txt string with non UTF-8 characters

I was trying to run the script, my text has both American and Japanese text, if there is Japanese text is in the --text string it will cause an encode error. I think its a UTF error but I am not the most knowledgeable on this so good luck fixing it!
