orbitalmaterialscience's Issues

Parts KEES experiments

Experiments:

  • Polished Plate Micrometeoroid and Debris (PPMD)
  • Orbital Debris Collector (ODC)
  • Passive Optical Sample Assemblies I (POSA I)
  • Passive Optical Sample Assemblies II (POSA II)

TODS

  • create parts
  • create textures
  • create description
  • determine costs
  • determine tech level
  • set experiment IDs depends on #15
  • set animation state on load

Name and Acronym of Cool Flames

I would like to point out that Cool Flames started after CFE already had the acronym, so CFI is Cool Flames Investigation. I'm not sure how much real life should actually transfer into the game, but let me know if there's something I can do.

Create changelog

New in version 0.5:

  • New science program: Kerbal Environmental Effects Study (KEES)
  • KEES Experiments:
    • Polished Plate Micrometeoroid and Debris (PPMD)
    • Orbital Debris Collector (ODC)
    • Passive Optical Sample Assemblies I (POSA I)
    • Passive Optical Sample Assemblies II (POSA II)
  • Additional KEES Parts:
    • Passive Experiment Carrier (PEC) used to mount the experiment on the outside of the craft.
    • Payload Container (PC) can hold one PEC and one experiment
  • Contracts for KEES
  • Icons for Alternate Resource Panel
  • Code clean up

Testing

Depends on #32
Requirement for: #27 #30 #29 #28
TODOs:

  • Test PPMD
  • Test ODC
  • Test POSA I
  • Test POSA II
  • Test Contracts
  • Test old parts
  • Test loading parts and contracts

Change textures to mbm

Because of a problem with the tga loader and png.

  • Experiment pods
  • MSL
  • MEP
  • Equipmentcontainer

  • MSL IVA
  • MEP IVA
  • PROPS

Contracts: Support other containers

Alright, looks like there is a bug.

I cannot complete KEES contracts while using non-KEES containers (I've used Tantares parts).

I've completed three KEES experiments (PPMD, POSA1, POSA2) and placed them into a Tantares (Soyuz) descent module. Deorbited and recovered it. The experiments are listed in archives, I've got my science points, but their respective contracts aren't completed.

Also, "Run experiment in orbit" objective is complete. "Return and recover" isn't, although I've returned and recovered it.

MSL-1000 Check ladder and airlock positions

its hard to get from outside into your lab, the kerbal always (or so) kicking the ladder then fly away instead of getting in the lab

hard to clic on the hatch for crew info, i had to found the place where it appear, which is not center on the hatch door at all

Causing sticky docking ports and grabbers in 64-bit

I'm not sure why, but in my 64-bit 0.24.2 KSP, which is loaded with a bunch of other mods, I was having an issue where releasing/undocking the advanced Grabber unit and occasionally a docking port would result in nothing happening, and the option to release/undock would be gone from the right-click menu as if it was worked. The result being that the dock/grabber unit was forever attached, without giving me the ability to ever separate them again.

I uninstalled by deleting the NehemiahInc folder from my gamedata directory, and the problem was instantly fixed. Luckily was was able to revert to a state where my space station I was working on did not yet include any parts from this mod.

This COULD be an interaction with a second mod, I'm not sure, but I do know that the issue is not present with the OrbitalMaterialScience mod uninstalled.
