I am Nina Dombrowski, a postdoctoral researcher at the Royal Netherlands Institute for Sea Research (NIOZ) in the Netherlands. My research focuses on investigating microbial communities in different habitats, such as the soil or hydrothermal vents, using computational approaches. Currently, I'm studying tiny microorganisms, called DPANN archaea, to understand more about their metabolism and interactions with other organisms.
I'm a self-taught R and Python programmer and an open-access enthusiast. On my page, you'll find multiple courses that I have taught during my postdoc years. Feel free to browse them on my GitHub page (the link can be found in the README if the link doesn't go directly to the HTML page). Please note that these courses are often works in progress, and I update them whenever I have the opportunity to teach.
Here are some general programming tutorials I have created that you might find useful:
- Getting started with the command line including example files
- An introduction to AWK with example files
- An R cookbook with example files
- Data manipulation with dplyr
- Data visualization with ggplot2
For biologists, I also have tutorials on:
