QMK Ergodox EZ keymap (MacOS)

Default layer's fancy features

• Save - just cmd+s
• Macro TD - Macro Tap Dance
  • Double tap to record
  • Tap again to stop recording
  • Then single tap to play
  • While recording, all LEDs light up and the left blinks
• Key lock - dynamic/generic super caps lock
  • Next key entered gets locked as if held, tapping the key again unlocks (sometimes related keys can unlock as well - e.g., any arrow key can unlock any other arrow key, and any alphanumeric can unlock another)
  • Works with brace cadet layers to lock the layer
  • While listening for the key to lock, all LEDs light up
• Space cadet shift
  • Single tap left shift for open parentheses, hold shift
  • Single tap right shift for close parentheses, hold shift
• Brace cadet layers
  • Single tap left inner modifiers for open curly brace / bracket, hold for layers 1 / 2
  • Single tap right inner modifiers for close curly brace / bracket, hold for layers 3 / 4
• New T/W - single tap opens new tab (cmd+t), double tap opens new window (cmd+n)
• Shift+Backspace -> Forward Delete
• Spotlight - Toggle spotlight search on tap, shift on hold
• Terminal - Opens iTerm (via custom hotkey)
• MisCT Ctrl - Mission control on tap, control on hold
• Shtab Shft - shift+tab (back-tab) on tap, shift on hold
• Ups / Downs
  • Single tap - Page up / Page down
  • Double tap - Home / End
  • Hold - Next Workspace / Prev Workspace
• Print Scrn
  • Single tap - Screenshot selected area
  • Double tap - Screenshot entire screen
  • Hold - Record screen selected area
• Esc Close - Escape on tap, cmd+w on double tap
• LEDs indicate top layer number in binary
