Not sure if you're still updating this but would love if the plugin could support 3DS Max 2022.

How to install .dli file? (2017 file)
As per the instructions, I copied the SMDImporter.dli (2017 version) into my Autodesk\3ds Max 2017\scripts directory but the pluggin is not recognized as a script that I can run (I don't even see it when I go to run it from 3dsMax).
The instructions mention about .dle files, so I am not sure if it is the same for .dli files.
Is there any chance you might help me figure this out?
The 2020SMD imported from HL1 is successful, but some models may have weight problems, which may lead to model drawing
