3.0? 3.6? 4.0?

Hi,
Im trying to install this addon and downloaded the zip and put it into my addons folder. I first tried just selecting the zip and install and nothing changed. Then I went inside and pointed to the main .py file. From the terminal and from the data files inside the library/app support, it did install- but I am not seeing it listed in the preferences for blender addons.

I am using an older version, 3.0, but have 3.6. I cant get 4.0 to run bc of the processor requirement though.

Does this require 4.0? Is there something else I am missing from the install process?
