On the other hand, it still makes sense to catch pre-build errors, abort the current file, and continue with other files. After all an invalid file (missing task, cyclic reference, etc.) is just a programming bug. Test task code may contain programming bugs, too. So it is not logical to stop testing on some and continue on others.

But at least Invoke-Build should show pre-build failures differenly. For example the footer should tell Build ABORTED <file> (i.e. not even started) instead of Build FAILED (i.e. started and failed). This will be done. Note: <file> is needed because the build header is not written on aborts and it may be not clear where the problem is.

And with such a change, if pre-build errors should stop the whole testing we can make this optional when this is really needed in practice.
