You can install the extension manually by downloading the built release files.
- Go to the Releases page and download the latest
moo-dl-release.zipfile. - Extract the downloaded
.zipfile into a new folder on your computer. - Open your browser and navigate to the extensions page (e.g.,
chrome://extensions/). - Enable "Developer mode" using the toggle switch in the top right corner.
- Click the "Load unpacked" button in the top left.
- Select the folder you extracted in Step 2.
- You're done! The moo.dl cow icon should now be pinned to your extension bar.
- Go to the Releases page and download the latest
moo-dl-release.zipfile. - Extract the downloaded
.zipfile into a new folder. - Open Firefox and navigate to
about:debugging#/runtime/this-firefox. - Click the "Load Temporary Add-on..." button.
Note
Firefox removes temporary add-ons when the browser is restarted. You will need to repeat this step if you close Firefox.
- Navigate to any Moodle course page where files and resources are listed.
- Click the moo.dl extension icon in your browser's top right toolbar.
- Wait a brief moment while the extension scans the page for files and resolves direct download links.
- Select the files you want to grab.
- Click "Download as ZIP". Please keep the tab open until the download begins.
