base16-papercolor-dark-syntax's Introduction

Seeking the coder's code...

Maybe they do now,
in this decadent era of
Lite beer, hand calculators, and "user-friendly" software
but back in the Good Old Days,
when the term "software" sounded funny
and Real Computers were made out of drums and vacuum tubes,
Real Programmers wrote in machine code.
Not FORTRAN. Not RATFOR. Not, even, assembly language.
Machine Code.
Raw, unadorned, inscrutable hexadecimal numbers.
Directly.

Lest a whole new generation of programmers
grow up in ignorance of this glorious past,
I feel duty-bound to describe,
as best I can through the generation gap,
how a Real Programmer wrote code.
I'll call him Mel,
because that was his name.

base16-papercolor-dark-syntax's Issues

Deprecated selector in `base16-papercolor-dark-syntax/index.less`

In `base16-papercolor-dark-syntax/index.less

Starting from Atom v1.13.0, the contents of atom-text-editor elements are no longer encapsulated within a shadow DOM boundary. This means you should stop using :host and ::shadow pseudo-selectors, and prepend all your syntax selectors with syntax--. To prevent breakage with existing style sheets, Atom will automatically upgrade the following selectors:

  • atom-text-editor, :host => atom-text-editor,atom-text-editor
  • atom-text-editor .gutter, :host .gutter => atom-text-editor .gutter,atom-text-editor .gutter
  • atom-text-editor .gutter .line-number.cursor-line, :host .gutter .line-number.cursor-line => atom-text-editor .gutter .line-number.cursor-line,atom-text-editor .gutter .line-number.cursor-line
  • atom-text-editor .gutter .line-number.cursor-line-no-selection, :host .gutter .line-number.cursor-line-no-selection => atom-text-editor .gutter .line-number.cursor-line-no-selection,atom-text-editor .gutter .line-number.cursor-line-no-selection
  • atom-text-editor .wrap-guide, :host .wrap-guide => atom-text-editor .wrap-guide,atom-text-editor .wrap-guide
  • atom-text-editor .indent-guide, :host .indent-guide => atom-text-editor .indent-guide,atom-text-editor .indent-guide

Automatic translation of selectors will be removed in a few release cycles to minimize startup time. Please, make sure to upgrade the above selectors as soon as possible.

Not an issue, just wanted to say thanks

Sorry for abusing this issue system. But PaperColor on vim has been my favorite color scheme for quite a long time now, it's the only dark theme I don't get bored of. And now that it's on Atom as well, I get total consistency between the two! So yay for PaperColor ๐ŸŽ‰

I hope it gets many more users, I always plug it wherever I can, but tastes are different.
