DevilDaggersSurvivalEditor is a tool that lets you create, view, and edit 'survival' files (also known as spawnsets) for the game Devil Daggers.

IMPORTANT

This version of the program (DDSE 2) is considered legacy and will not receive new features. Patches may be released until DDSE 2 is fully deprecated. Visit the ddinfo-tools repository for a much improved, cross-platform alternative.

Main features

• Spawnset editor
• Arena editor with the ability to change tile heights
• Arena presets
• Shrink preview that shows a rough approximation of what the arena will be like at what time during the spawnset
• Easily replacing the currently active spawnset in the game
• Downloading and importing spawnsets directly from DevilDaggers.info

System requirements

• Microsoft Windows (64-bit)

Installation

1. Download the zip file.
2. Unzip its contents.
3. Run DevilDaggersSurvivalEditor.exe inside the folder.

How I got this running on Linux

From this guide: https://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=34219

This gets things setup

export WINEPREFIX=`pwd`
wineboot --init
winetricks dotnet461

It runs 4 typical Windows install wizards, uses a gigabyte of disk space, and it also takes forever.

To run,

env WINEPREFIX=`pwd` wine ./DevilDaggersSurvivalEditor.exe

Things aren't pretty, but it gets the job done.
