express-workshop's Issues

Step 8: read before write

Had some feedback that it was confusing to introduce the idea of writing to JSON before reading from it, at that the step would flow better if it were the other way round.

Plan to introduce fs.readFile first, then fs.writeFile later on.

Step 10: instructions unclear

The instructions asked to use res.sendFile. As the script.js is trying to GET request, its first confusing to use GET request in server.js as well, and to respond with the same blogpost again when POSTing it.

Add screenshot to Step 2

Need to add a screenshot of what the package.json file will look like with Express saved as a dependency.

Explain npm in Step 2

Should probably explain what npm is in the second step before talking through installing Express. Can use content from Step 2 in the original CMS workshop README.
