If the project start measure is set to 0 and a one-measure MIDI item is created at the top of the project, the tooltip should indicate 0.x.x beat information within this item, but currently it doesn't.

reaper.GetProjectTimeOffset() would help for the project start time, but I don't find the one for the project start measure.

My specs:

• Show midi note name in tooltip_nofish mod.lua v1.01
• REAPER v6.83 64-bit
• Windows 10 Home 64-bit

"Named notename" would be a strange expression though...

Currently the tooltip tells pitch name like C4 and beat position like 1.0.0.
I mean it would be nice if the script additionaly indicates note names that are defined by loading note name files or by double right clicking on the left keyboard.

Considering the name of the script, it would be more natural for it to behave this way.
