Building

Fonts are built automatically by GitHub Actions - take a look in the "Actions" tab for the latest build.

If you want to build fonts manually on your own computer:

• make build will produce font files.
• make test will run FontBakery's quality assurance tests.
• make proof will generate HTML proof files.

The proof files and QA tests are also available automatically via GitHub Actions - look at https://notofonts.github.io/bassa-vah.

Ordering of input of diacritics in Noto Sans Bassa Vah

Diacritics are rendering in the font only when input before, not after, the base character, but to be correct it should be the other way around.

In either Word or OpenOffice, use the 'Insert>Symbol' or 'Insert>Special Character' dialog to input a Bassa Vah vowel into an open document as text. Then use the same method to input a diacritic. Then input another vowel.

You will see that the diacritic combines with the vowel following it, not with the one that preceded it in entry.

The expected behavior is that the diacritic would combine with the base vowel character that precedes it in input, not the one that follows.

U+16AE9 (BASSA VAH LETTER OO) followed by U+16AF0 (BASSA VAH COMBINING HIGH TONE) should ideally look like a circle with a dot in the middle if it's combining correctly as expected.

But the behavior as currently observed is that the dot only appears in the middle of the vowel character that follows it, thus U+16AF0 followed by U+16AE9.

Built fonts aren't showing up on notofonts.github.io

"Latest fonts" section here is blank. Nothing in the notofonts.github.io repository either.
