vrops-dashboard-snapshot_detail's Issues

Created & Description field data

I've made the edits to the Policy as directed, making them both Local Enabled, in an area of the Policy library that would cover all objects. My issue is that for both columns I'm only seeing entries on VMs I created, There are hundreds of other VMs with snapshots in the view and they are all blank.

Looking at view in design, both data objects metric name begins with "Disk Space:2865|Snapshot:snapshot-1|....". I don't find the number "2865" after any metrics in the, could you explain it's source?

Running vROps 7.0 from upgrade of 6.7. Changes made at a point in Policy Library that I know it is applied to all objects.

Snapshot Age

Do you know why the report would grab snapshots that are aged -1 days? Or some time I will get 0 days or 1 day snapshots. I have a filter set to only report on snapshots older than 2 days. However, on some of the VMs in the report, I will get multiple snapshots with different ages, but there really is only 1 snapshot in snapshot manager. Also, if I drill down into the datastore, I can only find small delta files that could possibly resemble that date.

Error

Hi Brandon , please see the image attached. I had this problem. And the name of the snapshot and the age of the snapshot was wrong. Customer did a snapshot with a customer name and the name was different in the view. The age was wrong too and no information about the creator as well and in the description was a description from Update Manager

Dashboard no information displayed

HI Brandon

I follow your steps to import the snapshot dashboard.
but I don't see the VM snapshot information.

I confirmed that my virtual machine has a snapshot.

Is any other settings to be changed in vROps 7.5?

Old Snapshots being reported. -

It's great that I can now see the "Creator" but this snapshot-detail is pulling some old historical data. So this file is no good until it can be fixed.

Why can't the report check the .vmsd file of the VM. That is the current and real information recorded.

Unable to collect snapshot metrics

Hi Brandon,

I'm currently running vROps 7.0 but am having troubles with collecting metrics with your view/dashboard. If I try to run a report or generate a dashboard, I get nothing. Matter of fact my vROps cluster is generating anomaly alerts when I run a report with this view/metrics.

Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks

I am also facing the same issue. Only creator and description columns fields are blank rest all are good.

What was the resolution adopted if this is solved. Please respond asap.

Thanks
