@mu88 SecureString doesn't actually work, see this.
In general, trying to protect against having secrets in memory is largely futile; the secret will exist at some point - the only thing you can do is reduce the time it's there (which seems of limited value). In any case, if some gains unauthorized access to your process memory, you're likely already compromised to an extent that reading that memory wouldn't be a huge additional problem.
In any case, you can avoid having secrets altogether by using Kerberos/GSS authentication.
I'll go ahead and close this as I don't think we'll be implementing this, but feel free to post back if you have other insights/suggestions around this - we can always reconsider if needed.
