SQL translation error when using LEFT JOIN in `Where` about efcore.pg

@akordowski are you using the EFCore.NamingConvention plugin? If so, that looks like a bug there, rather than anything with EFCore.PG. If so, please reopen this issue with a runnable, minimal code sample that reproduces the error.

@roji Thank you for the quick response. The EFCore.NamingConvention plugin is not used in the project, only the following NuGet packages in version 8.0.2:

• Npgsql.EntityFrameworkCore.PostgreSQL
• Npgsql.EntityFrameworkCore.PostgreSQL.NetTopologySuite
• Npgsql.EntityFrameworkCore.PostgreSQL.NodaTime

I will prepare and provide an example asap.

Is there a way to use LEFT JOIN in Linq?

This makes it sound like you're doing a SQL query; if that's the guess, it's up to you to provide correct SQL.

As described I am using the _dbContext.User.Where(e => e.Address == null).ToList(); Linq statement, which always work with MSSQL, therefore I'm confused that it is not working with the Postgresql provider. There are no raw SQL statements in use.

In a example project the statement works fine. I will investigate it further tomorrow why it does not work in the main project.
