vfind's Issues

DNA translation assumes sequence length is divisible by 3

Translating DNA to protein sequences assumes length is divisible by 3 and may fail in cases when it is not. The easiest fix would perhaps be to log a warning in these cases and skip those sequences. The alternative is to just return an error with a hint to let people use the skip_translation argument in these cases, but this seems less flexible. I am actually not sure which solution is best in these cases.
