Installation

Install Bepinex5

Download IdolShowdownTrainingPlusPlus.dll from Releases

Install IdolShowdownTrainingPlusPlus.dll to Idol Showdown/Bepinex/plugins

Usage

F8: Toggle Menu

F9: Toggle Frame Walk

f10: Step One Frame

Issues

  • Projectiles do not render

But I want to use MelonLoader mods

Linux

If you know how to install bepinex for linux you dont need this

Follow the Normal Installation and come back

Install Proton Tricks

run protontricks --gui

click Idol Showdown: 1742020 from the list then click OK

Click OK for any error popups

Select Select the default wineprefix and click OK

Select Run winecfg and click OK

Click the Libraries tab

Under the label New override for library select winhttp and click add

Exit out of protontricks and you can start the game

Possible enhancements to #1 (and a bug)

  • Make a toggle to reverse inputs
    This will make it easier to actually implement the replays as you have to usually input them as player 2, for now though, we can just use 8R and then do the recording

  • Control Which Player the Replay plays as.
    When you try to play the replay during a recording, The recording keeps controlling the player character and only the player character, not the dummy. Which can be pretty useful, but the point of replay editor is to edit the dummy replay and not only the player character, so some kind of fix or workaround is in order, I guess.

  • The usual Keybind stuff
    As per usual and something you probably heard tens of times while making mods, attach a keybind to the replay of the selected replay. Make sure there's a keybind for Reloading the set replay and playing the set replay because it's going to be more popular to have the replay editing up on a seperate window

Possible Enhancement: Meter Number Display

Some guys over in the wiki discord are trying to get a handle on the meter value of the game. I think it would be good if you could display each character meter number somewhere in plaintext. The meter number is located the player Class in SuperMeter.CurrentSuperMeter.

Enhancements: After Block

Wow, didn't expect it to be that quick, I won't assume it was easy, here are just some QOL things that you can maybe ignore

  • Toggle which side does the input after blocking
    This is to prevent the player from doing the recording when testing a situation that requires them to block

  • Add an option for "After Teching"
    I expect this one to actually be difficult to do, as you would have to override the current dummy, or manually make the dummy tech yourself.

    The easiest way to use the recording feature as of now is to set the Dummy Playback Setting to "Play after damage taken" on a null demo and then do everything. Hopefully, there is some kind of workaround you can use to allow usage in normal Dummy Settings. If so, then it'd be nearly complete.
